PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Stephanie Burrage

ā€‹

Welcome to the official website of the Minneapolis St. Paul Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  On behalf of the dynamic and dedicated members of our Sisterhood I thank you for taking the time to visit our online home! My name is Stephanie Burrage and I have the honor of being the President of our exceptional chapter!

ā€‹

Since our charter in 1966, the Minneapolis-St. Paul Chapter members have served our communities through Sisterhood, Scholarship and Public Service.  Our work is designed to ensure that the communities we serve—and the people who live in them – thrive.  We carry on the legacy of our Founders, 22 college educated women who in 1913, on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C founded Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  Since its inception, more than 300,000 women have been initiated, making Delta Sigma Theta one of the largest African American women’s organizations in the country.

The Minneapolis-St. Paul Deltas are committed and guided by our Five-Point Programmatic

Thrust, which includes:

Economic Development

Educational Development

International Awareness and Involvement

Physical and Mental Health

Political Awareness and Involvement

As a 35-year member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and a 15+ member of the Minneapolis-St. Paul Alumnae Chapter, I have seen the evolution of our organization and our continued service at the local, regional, national, and international levels.  We continue to strive to reach the mark of service and sisterhood for those in need.

ā€‹

We are thankful for your support and welcome collaboration and partnerships that align with our purpose and mission.  If you are interested in working with us through social action and programs or participating in our numerous events, I recommend you review our calendar on our website.  If you see something of interest to you, send an email to president@dstmsp.org and I will connect you with our dynamic Executive Board or our awesome committee chairs to discuss the possibilities and potential of service.

ā€‹
