POLITICAL AWARENESS & INVOLVEMENT
The Social Action Committee within our Chapter works to create political awareness through legislature, community action, and civic events.
Voter Registration and Education
Minneapolis-St. Paul Alumnae Chapter works to register voters at various community events and educate the community about legislative topics. Most recently, the Chapter was a sponsor of When We All Vote’s “Fuel the Vote” community drive-thru food and voter registration drives in Minneapolis and St. Paul.
The Chapter's most recent public voter education event was a "ReDiSTricting101" webinar on February 12, 2022 with guest speaker Brett Buckner, Managing Director of OneMN.org.

Delta Day at the Minnesota State Capitol
The Chapter also holds "Delta Day at the State Capitol" to discuss community concerns with Minnesota legislators and how the Chapter can best partner with organizations to work on issues that impact the community. Topics have included voting rights, racial impact screening for potential legislation, prohibition of military weapons, the educational achievement gap in Minnesota and human trafficking.
