About the Event
We are excited to partner with the City of Brooklyn Park, the Brooklyn Bridge Alliance, Youth Civic Leaders, and North Hennepin Community College as part of their Civic Engagement Education Series. This interactive series is focused on educating the public on local government, voting rights, community advocacy, and leadership development.
The first session, Understanding Local Government, will be held on September 23. This aligns with our Social Action goal to educate our sorors and community on how local government works. We encourage at least 50 sorors to attend, as our soror, the Mayor of Golden Valley, will be serving as a panelist. Attire is red or DST paraphernalia.
