The Arts & Letters Committee develops and implements programs that increase cultural awareness in the chapter and the community by sponsoring and supporting programs highlighting the arts. Our major program is the Annual Literary Luncheon.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and specifically, the Minneapolis / St. Paul Alumnae Chapter are committed to supporting the arts by highlighting the works of authors of color. As part of the organization's National Commission on Arts and Letters initiatives, the local chapter has sponsored the Literary Luncheon over the past 7 years.
We invite you to join us as we present talented African American authors to the Twin Cities in the future. It is our belief that your support of this event is a small, yet effective means of educating and increasing the awareness of many issues that affect women and people of color through various author's literary works. The proceeds from this event assist in the development and implementation of our public service programs.
